This Is The Place.
I'm Rich Taunt.
I help organisations think better.
More clarity, less noise, sharper focus.
I work with a small number of organisations in health, care and public services, at moments when what happens next really matters. I help you work out your options, make the decision, and see it through. It's a simple offer: room to think, one person who gets to know your world, a number of days over time. When the work needs more hands, I bring in people I trust.
A few days. Spread over time.
There when the thinking counts.
When something needs proper thought. A board session that has to count. A new strategy taking shape. A big decision where you need clarity and real options. Or when it's all hands to the pump, and you could use someone alongside you who's seen it before.
Whenever the question is
what you're actually going to do.
For over twenty years I've been in the thick of health and care from a range of different standpoints: government, think-tanks, regulation, providers and charities. I founded and ran the radical social enterprise consultancy Kaleidoscope Health and Care. There's more if you want to read about it.
Along the way I've helped dozens of organisations, hundreds of leaders and thousands of people unpick their trickiest issues. It's the work I like best, and I'm decent company while I do it. This is the Place is that work, given its own space.
Think back to the last decision
your organisation got wrong.
Every organisation has a decision it later regretted, not the everyday kind, but the expensive, damaging kind. What would it have been worth to think that one through properly, with someone who had no stake in the answer except that it was good? That's where I come in.
Focusing on what
only you can change.
Too often I've sat in rooms where everyone believed the real decisions were being made somewhere else. Sometimes they were right. Mostly they weren't. Change starts when a room decides the decision is theirs to make. This is the place where that happens.
If now's the time, let's talk.
Drop me an email and tell me a little about what's going on. I'll have a proper read and then let's find the time to chat.
